Sami-K, whose full name is Samuel kiggundu, is an urban Gospel music artiste whose style varies from RnB, Hiphop, Dance hall and Ballads. Sami’s singing dates back to the mid 80s’As a little boy, "I used to travel with my older sister, auntie and grandfather singing all over the country(Uganda) with different choirs and gospel artistes under the Uganda Association for Christian Music (U.A.C.M).Our group was called The Mukasa’s singing group which was named after my Grandfather now the late Yeko mukasa (R.I.P).we did shows at community centers, churches and schools.“Because my grandfather was old we couldn’t carry on with the tours and performances as he was growing frail. This brought a halt to the singing and traveling for the group". In the early 90’s, the desire to sing woke up again and he started singing in school where he won the hearts of his teachers and principle that he was made the school choir prefect. After his high school with the music nudging in him, he joined Kampala Pentecostal Church (K.P.C/currently Watoto Church) youth choir and later became its leader and director. He didn’t stop at only that, he also joined the main choir .quickly moving up the ladder, he was asked to join the worship team as a back-up Tenor singer which he did for 2 years and then was asked by the church music director and wife to the senior pastor Marilyn Skinner to join the globe trotting Watoto Children’s Choir in 2000 with which he travelled to the United States of America, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Sami was part of other musical groups like Sanctuary a group he started and with its collapse joined the U.K/U.S based gospel quintet “FIRST LOVE” which he performed with every time he was in town and available. After his 2 years of service with watoto, Sami embarked on a solo Career as his friends First Love were no longer in the country and the members of Sanctuary busy with their careers and families. Sami later joined an old friend Isaac Rucci of Limit-X who had returned home to start a group called" SAUTI" which he helped put together and write their first album. Because of the call upon his life, Sami continued as a solo artiste and he recorded his first single called” PRAISE HIM” that was paid for and co-written by his best friend Paul Kim from the group “First Love". This single was such a success and got major air play on the local Christian radio stations which caught the attention of one of the gospel music producers in the country who offered him to do a second single called "Alright" with Vamposs(Vampino)which also got a lot of air play. In this same period of time he became a co-producer with Alpha-1 records where he was recording and also started mentoring young musicians like G.3.U, Jimmi- K to mention but a few. Sami-K has worked so hard and put out 3 albums called Rhythm & praiz , Journey Man( both 16 track albums)and his latest and biggest UNCONDITIONAL/FULL HUNDRED recorded at the biggest gospel and one of the best professional studios in the country(FIRST LOVE RECORDS). Sami-K has been a vocal coach working with atistes like the Obsessions, Titi,Natasha Sinayobe and Winnie Munyenga who are all P.A.M(Pearl Of Africa Music) award winners. He has shared stages with some of the biggest gospel international artistes like Kirk Franklin, Cece Winans, Papasan, Ricky Dillard, Allen&Allen, Sherwin Gardner ,Richard Smallwood to mention but a few. With all this success, he is still humble and mentoring many other artistes and doing all he can to boost the gospel music industry in Uganda, Africa as its flag bearing ambassador to the nations under the "Journey Man ProjeKT" an outfit that builds, mentors, produces and ministers to musicians, music lovers and artistes.
